Our proven WEATHERPAK™ military weather station, tripod-mount or vehicle- and roof-mount, is the basis for these lightweight but powerful, potential lifesaving meteorological instruments. These wireless weather stations will track weather on the move or instantly when arriving on site.
Fixed Base Systems (FBS)
Proven Fixed Base Systems, including the U.S. Air Force's FMQ-19 FBS, collect and report weather data at permanent airfields, including CAT I, CAT II, & CAT III. Our ZENO® 3200 datalogger permits numerous options in communication and telemetry. And our Universal Serial Interface and ZENOSOFT® software simplify expansion with most off-the-shelf meteorological sensors.
Radar Ground Truth & Radar Weather Station Network
Our rugged, self-aligning WEATHERPAK™ military weather stations quickly provide crucial data for tactical meteorology, such as approaching radar and air traffic control systems. These meteorological instruments are quick to deploy, portable, easy to operate, and durable enough to withstand a 6 feet drop onto concrete.
The Role of Weather Stations in a CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, and Explosive) Incident
Weather is the largest determinant of where, how far, when, and in what concentration a Chemical, Biological, Radiological/Nuclear, or Explosive (CBRNE) material will travel. With the use of these meteorological instruments used at the scene, WMD Teams and other First Responders are able to save the lives of many and prevent costly and deadly mistakes.
Quick Deployable Air Support
These meteorological instruments can consist of one or many weather stations surrounding the radar or the airfield on a temporary or semi-permanent basis. As used by the U.S. Marines, three powerful WEATHERPAK™ 2000 weather stations, one local and two remote, provide weather information in minutes, using tactical meteorolgy to stabilize flight data.
Tactical Portable CBRNE Field Stations
Our CBRNE Field Stations are powerful military weather stations that are lightweight, portable and quick to deploy in the first lines of defense against any CBRNE attack. Once deployed, these meteorological instruments immediately begin to collect data for computations that provide data on plume or wind-carried dispersions of CBRNE contaminants.

Coastal's military shipboard weather stations are the easiest meteorological instruments to install, operate and maintain. That is why so many of our military shipboard weather stations are found on both combat and noncombat vessels ranging in sizes from PT boats to aircraft carriers.
